BJ Hanley

BJ grew up playing baseball in Northern California. He was a four-year varsity player in high school and that was where he received a full scholarship to attend Southern Virginia University.

By graduation, he set University records for career home runs, RBIs, and batting average. BJ now lives in Spotsylvania, VA, where he continues to work with youth baseball players.

BJ has been with Pinnacle for over four years, and in that time, has worked with several hundred area players, ranging from seven to 18 years of age. As Pinnacle's lead hitting instructor, as well as the head hitting coach at the Showcase level, he has designed hitting programs that emphasize hitting early in the count, hitting for power, and embracing an aggressive hitting mindset. His programs and approach to teaching result in his students increasing their exit velocity by as much as 15 to 20 mph.
